Equipment overview:

The PVD Coating Thickness Tester is a measuring instrument that can be used for a variety of film and coating thicknesses. The measured coating is not limited by factors such as composition and hardness. The instrument is simple to operate and the maintenance cost is much lower than other types of thickness gauges.

The principle of the measuring instrument is mainly to grind the ball into a concentric spherical ring on the coating, and measure the size of the spherical surface to calculate the thickness of the coating. The thickness gauge consists of a ball mill mechanism, a high-magnification metallurgical microscope, a computer and a thickness measurement software.
